End location: Skaftafell ( Southeast Iceland)
Route travelled:
Headed back east along Road 1 to meet Route F985 to meet up with Vantajokull snowmobiling tour. Left the car near the power plant & transferred to a proper 4 x 4 to head 16km up the mountain to a height of 1,180m. Took a 8.5km snowmobiling trip across the Skalafellsjokull glacier before heading back down the mountain. Drove back into Hofn to have a bit of a look round before heading back to the hotel in Skaftafell.

Trip notes: The only bad weather day of the holiday. Rain was coming horizontally across the windscreen & the car was blowing
all over the road. Cute Icelandic man did the tour. Was absolutely petrified.
